When Brett initially contacted me, he was frustrated with the results he was achieving in his business. He knew he could easily increase his income and overcome the many challenges he was experiencing if only he could get organised.
As a financial advisor he had plenty of work, yet he couldn't handle the workload. There was too much to do and not enough time. Because of his lack of time there were also problems with his staff.
After working out what his goals were, the first area we addressed was his time management.
Brett wasted 50% of his day due to his time management issues and on top of that we discovered something else which contributed to his time wasting activities. Brett was going to bed late at night (watching too much TV) and waking up late in the morning.
Therefore his working day commenced later and unfortunately for Brett, the mornings were his most productive times. Combining all these factors plus the fact that Brett wasn't exercising and eating healthily made him feel sluggish.
Although he was 'present' at work he wasn't doing much.
Over time Brett's habits changed. Now that he knew exactly what the problems were, a plan was put in place and most importantly, action was taken to turn Brett's situation around.
Going to bed earlier, waking up in the morning and getting regular exercise, changing his eating habits all contributed to his increased productivity. He felt more alert, focussed and confident... and he increased his profitability substantially.
